“I am the Life” - April 3
This week’s “going deeper” verse is John 11:25 – “I am the resurrection and the life…” Jesus has just arrived after the death of Lazarus. He comforts Mary & Martha and prepares them for the resurrection of their brother by challenging their faith… Jesus’ words also challenge our faith and beliefs about this life, death, and eternal life.

Monday – Read Genesis 2:4-10; 3:21-23. Who is the giver of all life? Why were Adam and Eve banished from Eden? How was God’s mercy evident?

Tuesday – Genesis 6:1-8. Why were man’s days limited? What was God’s original intent regarding human lifespan? How was God’s mercy revealed?

Wednesday – Psalm 16. What is the path of life? Why are boundaries in life helpful? How has God counseled and instructed me in my life?

Thursday – Psalm 103. What does it mean that my life has been “redeemed”? What does this song teach about my sin and how does this impact my life today?

Friday – Psalm 119:37,50, 88, 93, 107, 156, 159. In this wonderful psalm, what is the impact of God’s word on my life? How can I make this real in my life? What will my life be like by knowing and attending to His word?

Saturday – John 10:9-11; 14-15; 1 Timothy 1:15-17. Why did Jesus come to earth? What was the result? What is the full or abundant life and am I living it? How do I know?

Sunday – John 11:17-27. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18. What does Jesus teach about death? About eternal life? What does He ask Martha? How do I answer that same question? How does this enable my worship today?
